For more than 15 years I have worked in setting up and running poultry slaughterhouses in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, from the production floor to managing a whole plant. I help project owners with feasibility studies, plant planning and fit-out, selecting slaughter lines and equipment, following up execution, and operations and quality systems. I have also built two apps for slaughterhouses and farms, drawn from daily work.

Experience

  • 2023 – presentRunning a 6,000 birds/hour automatic poultry slaughterhouse in Saudi Arabia: leading a team of more than 100 vets, technicians, quality supervisors and workers, keeping the slaughter and chilling line flowing, overseeing the installation and operation of incinerators, a rendering plant and wastewater treatment units, and reducing losses and waste.
  • 2010 – 2022Working at a poultry slaughterhouse in Egypt (Kafr El-Sheikh), rising to production manager: managing daily production, labour and operations.

Selected work

  • Preparing the HACCP plan and all its records for a poultry slaughterhouse that obtained HACCP certification.
  • Evaluating technical offers for slaughter and processing lines from international suppliers such as Meyn, Linco and Haarslev.
  • Feasibility studies and drawing reviews for plants from 1,000 to 12,000 birds per hour.
  • Following up the preparation of a food facility in Egypt for registration with the National Food Safety Authority.
  • Building the Fayoud Poultry Pro platform for slaughterhouses and the FPS - Farms app for farms.
